Donner
Lake
Located
just west of Truckee. Many of the homes located around
Donner Lake are within walking distance of the lake.
The Donner Lake community has limited amenities,
but homeowners can join the Donner Lake Property
Owners Beach Club for a minimal annual fee. Amenities
include tennis courts, picnic & BBQ areas, and
water activity rental equipment. Donner Lake is ideal
for those who wish to be in close range to the action,
yet enjoy the serenity that the Sierras have to offer.
Donner
Lake is truly remarkable. Located within a short
distance from Highway 80, yet a setting that is so
beautiful it needs to be seen to be believed. In
summertime the lake is busy with boaters and water-skiers,
along with swimming and simply relaxing, and the Forth
of July fireworks display over the lake is a real highlight.
Donner
Lake is within a half hours drive to Lake Tahoe and
the major ski resorts: Sugar Bowl, Northstar, Tahoe
Donner, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Boreal.
Donner Lake is mainly comprised of small mountain cabins,
although there has been newer development. A lakefront
property can command a price of over $1 million regardless
of the condition it is in. |
